This is a busy road bridge which crosses the line here. The swimming pool just to the south of here often attracts a youth element, that may put some off this location. We must be cautious.
You can walk down the public footpath from the station which should only take 4-5 minutes at most.
If you wish to drive, head south from the station down Wilfred Road. Turn right onto the A253. At the first mini roundabout, turn right, and go straight over the next one. You will soon cross over the railway which is the actual location.Click here to set up your location for directions to this location Ramsgate, Newington Road map co-ordinates
The swimming pool has closed but the car park remains available for use.
Just as you cross the road bridge, if coming from the south, you will notice space to park around 4-5 cars on the right hand side just ahead. If these are taken, then you will have to chance a side street!
The Rising sun cafe is oppoiste the location. Failing that one might prefer to find somewhere in the town centre, or even the facilities at the station itself.

If the sun is right, the 'best' photos can be had of east bound trains up until lunchtime, and west bound trains, and depot shots, from lunchtime onwards.
Traffic noise from the raod may also be a problem for videographers.
