Location notes
A 2 platform station located between Taunton and Bristol on the Great Western Main Line.
Railway type and traffic
Highbridge & Burnham station is served solely by First Great Western, mainly by services on the Taunton to Cardiff route, infrequent HST's to and from London in the morning and late evening too.
You can expect to see the following:
FGW Class 150/153/158 and HST's, XC Voyagers and HST's.
Freight is sparse, but there is a DB Schenker fuel oil train on Tuesday afternoons, a roughly weekly Colas Rail log train and flask traffic to and from Bridgwater, engineers workings are fairly common too.

actual location so please check the page. This link will take you to what is happening 'around now'. Dates and times can be changed at the top of the page.
Environment
An unstaffed two platform station with ubiquitous open shelters the only weather protection, the station seems safe enough, although as with any unstaffed station it is best to use caution at night.
Road directions
Parking
Parking is available on the station approach road, but there aren't always many free spaces, it does seem secure though.
Public transport
Regular buses from the Taunton and Weston-super-Mare areas, and roughly hourly local train services on the Taunton - Bristol - Cardiff route.

Photographic notes
The best shot is looking north in the afternoon from the up platform, where a shot free of any station furniture or platform is available, although you will need a focal length of at least around 25mm to push past the B3139 road bridge (shots are also available from this bridge in the up direction).
High trees can sometimes cause shadow issues for shots of trains at the platforms.
Noise levels are usually low, although as of May 2013 a building project is taking place next to the station, so this may impede videographers for a few months.
