Location notes
The bridge was demolished at the end of 2015 - This location is no longer available

A track at the end of a country lane approx half a mile from Bristol Parkway station.

Update Feb 2006
This location has became a some what dangerous place to visit of late, the owner of the scrap yard at the end of the lane does not like pepole with cameras any where near his yard. He will tell you this in no uncertain terms.
Railway type and traffic
The location overlooks the main London - South West and Wales mainline.
Frequent passenger traffic of all types plus freight, particularly coal trains to Didcot Power Station.

RTT Link Curtis Lane, Bristol
This link should be close to the location, but may not be the actual location so please check the page. This link will take you to what is happening 'around now'. Dates and times can be changed at the top of the page.
Environment
There’s a rubbish tip nearby and it may be muddy, don’t wear your best shoes. (it may be worthwhile bringing your wellies if it’s been raining). Given this fact it is not somewhere you would want to be after dark, no street lighting and difficult walking terrain.
Road directions
Starting at Bristol Parkway car park:
Turn left out of the car park and go under the railway line. Take the first left at the mini roundabout. Drive up Church Road and follow the road to the left as it joins Hambrook Lane. Curtis Lane is the third turning on the left.

Parking
Limited car parking at the end of the lane. If anyone else is there (unlikely) you may need to leave the car on Hambrook Lane. Leave clearance for trucks entering the rubbish tip.

Photographic notes
The bridge was demolished at the end of 2015 - This location is no longer available

The location is a bridge across the railway. Looking towards Parkway the view is obscured by a bridge at Stoke Gifford, looking towards London the track is straight for two miles and trains can be seen coming for ages before they arrive. Not a brilliant location for variety in angles, but great for rolling stock. (viewed from above obviously!)
