Location notes
Between Toddington and Winchcombe on the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway, this rural location is just off the main road between the two Cotswold settlements.
The nearest major town is Cheltenham.
Railway type and traffic
A Preserved railway, mainly passenger although some demonstration freights are run.
Environment
In open fields it is a delight on a sunny day, but offers no refuge in a deluge. With only a smattering of trees it is possible to get good photographs with ease. An over bridge offers an elevated view.
Road directions
Take the B4632 from Winchcombe or Toddington. Take the road signposted for Hailes fruit farm, the railway bridge is easy to spot.

Parking
Roadside parking by the bridge is easy.
Public transport
With difficulty. Castleways run an infrequent service from Cheltenham, but there is no stop nearby. The location is about a 2 mile walk from Toddington GWR station but the foot path follows the line on the west side.

Photographic notes
In the morning the sun allows photography of all trains. As the day progresses it becomes more suited to southbound trains only.
Trackside permits are available from Toddington station, though you must have a high visibility vest on at all times. For times etc, visit the
