Location notes
Acton Bridge is situated on the West Coast Main Line about 12 miles north of Crewe and about 10 miles south of Warrington.
Railway type and traffic
As well as the usual mix of WCML traffic, Pendolions and other units Acton Bridge is a busy little spot with lots of freight action most time of the day or night.
Environment
It is a country environment with lots of fields and public footpaths near the railway or crossing the railway.
Road directions
From the M56, Junction 10:Head south on the A49 for about 5 miles. when you pass over the swing bridge take the next right and follow the signs to Acton Bridge.
Journey time from Junction 10 about 10 minutes.

Amenities
There is a fine hostility just over the road from the railway station called The Hazel Pear, Cracking real ale and lovely food 12-2 in the afternoons and then in the evenings from about 6-9 ish.
