Location notes
Littleport is a small town situated near the River Great Ouse in the Fens on Norfolk. The Fen line connecting Cambridge to Kings Lynn passes through here.
Railway type and traffic
Most, if not, all the traffic you'll see are Great Northern and Greater Anglia Class 365's but Great Northern 317s and 321s make an occasional appearance.
There is also a regular (usually every few days) freight service to Middleton Towers, this is usually class 66 hauled.
If they send a special, you may see the odd Class 47/57, RHTT trains, but that's it. Since the line north of the station is single track, you're looking at 2-3 trains an hour. Despite the lack of trains, it has (as of October 2013) a staffed signal box and wooden gates just south of the station.

Environment
The place is quite peaceful despite it being fairly close to the A10. The station is not in a bad neighbourhood, so you shouldn't have any problems. Besides, the signalman should see it all. There are trees around so it can provide some shade, and act as a wind block.
Road directions
From Ely, take the A10 north to Littleport. On the roundabout near the BP Petrol Station, take a right on Wisbech Road and follow it until you see the BR station sign of Littleport. Take a left and park in the car park.
From the east, take the A1101 or A10. once you crossed over the river, take a right at Lynn Road until you see a signal box, and then the BR sign. take a right and park up.

Photographic notes
The station is on a curve, with the platform opposite of the car park on the inside bend. Lighting can be had throughout the day. Watch out for shadows. I suggest the inside platform unless lighting is your priority.
