From the A38 between Derby and Lichfield:
If travelling north you will need to reverse to head south at Hillards Cross so come off at the turning for 'Fradley Park' and then take the first left to double back onto the A38 southbound.
Southbound take the A5127 turning towards Lichfield. When you join the main road you will see 'The Anchor' pub on the right and just after this is the turning for 'Burton Old Road' on the left. Take this and the location is at the end of the road.

Parking
A small section at the end of road to park 1, maybe 2, cars but Network Rail must have access to park at end of road by crossing so the road must be left clear. There will also be space to park your car on Burton Old Road further back in the housing area.
Public transport
Catch the train to either Lichfield Tent Valley station. Then walk out the station and turn right and cross over the WCML. Walk down the road until you see a bus stop on the left hand side of the road and just after this is 'Burton Old Road'. Continue down this road and you will reach the location.

Photographic notes
Light will favour Barton (north) bound workings for the first part of the morning. After that the preference will be for workings heading towards either Birmingham if heading direct, or Rugeley if taking the curve to the WCML.
