Location notes
Overlooking the Midland Main Line, about 9 miles north of St Pancras.
Railway type and traffic
Mostly Midland Main line HST’s and Turbostars (170’s) soon to include 222 Meridians. Only a small amount of freight.

Photographic notes
A good view of approaching northbound trains and a reasonable view of southbound trains (for a better view see Apex Corner - Southbound) Your angle of views is limited on one side by the bank (Fig 2). With this in mind the location favours morning.
Extra video notes
Although the location looks good the line runs parallel to the M1 motorway, traffic noise makes the location pretty much unusable unless you are shooting silent movies or post dubbing the audio.

Although space betewwn the OLE means that near head on shots can be obtained with out the wires in shot.
