Location notes
Gayton is a small peaceful village in rural Northamptonshire, between Bugbrooke and Blisworth.
Railway type and traffic
The line that runs through here is on the busy West Coast Main Line. Plenty of Virgin services can be observed here.
However, please note that most freight does not pass through this location. Freight workings normally take the Northampton loop before rejoining near Rugby.
Environment
The location itself is an overbridge on a quiet country lane.
Road directions
From the M1, Junction 15:Take the A43 heading to Oxford, and come off at the exit for Blisworth. Gayton village is well signposted from here. When you get to Gayton village itself, follow the road to the end until it bears to the right, becoming Milton Road. A church should be on the right hand side. Just after the bend, take the next left, and follow the narrow road until you pass over the railway bridge.

Photographic notes
This shot is no longer available due to the placement of palisade fencing along the lineside.
Photos can be taken from both sides, of the bridge, although this location is only good for northbound trains. Shots can be taken from the bridge, or if you walk to the end of the bridge, you will discover a gap in the hedge. This is the best location for taking your shot. Sunny afternoon shots are best here.
