Location notes
A footbridge across HS1 near Ebbsfleet International Station in Kent, there is also views to be had from the nearby A226 road bridge.
Railway type and traffic
You will see Eurostars, either slowing for the station, accelerating from the station or passing through at 186mph!
Come 2010 there will be South Eastern Javelin trains running from the North Kent Line to St Pancras and underneath this bridge.

RTT Link Ebbsfleet Station
This link should be close to the location, but may not be the actual location so please check the page. This link will take you to what is happening 'around now'. Dates and times can be changed at the top of the page.
Environment
Quiet, little noise from the nearby area but otherwise on the day visited (Saturday evening) it was perfectly acceptable. There is a football ground nearby however!
Road directions
The the A226 towards Northfleet, when you get there turn into an unmarked road the Northfleet station side of Eagle Way, and park, this is an industrial estate, so parking can be tricky. You will see a palaside fence with a path alongside it, follow this under the North Kent Line and you will arrive at the footbridge.

Parking
As mentioned you can park nearby, and walk it. Not sure what the area is like, best not to leave valuables such as Sat Nav on display in there.
Public transport
Northfleet or Swanscombe stations and walk, not disastrously far!

Amenities
Ebbsfleet International Station is a short drive away which has toilets but little else. There are a few places in Northfleet however.
Accommodation
Rochester or one of the other Medway Towns probably best for this.

Photographic notes
The location is good for light and videography at most times of the day. I went there late on a Saturday in November and had no major troubles. A Eurostar timetable will show the best times to be there from that point of view. As for light, its quite an open area with no problems that I could see.
