Photographic notes
The location is best suited to northbound services and is on the east side of the line so it will favour morning light. There are shots of southbound trains but there is pretty much no notice of approaching trains until they are right on top of you. The southbound slow road is closest to the location and you can get an interesting set of height based angles on trains, but still with the advanced notice restraint.
Extra video notes
Although the location looks good the line runs parallel to the M1 motorway, traffic noise makes the location pretty much unusable unless you are shooting silent movies or post dubbing the audio.

Fig 1 - Looking south
The main shot of northbound trains, they can be framed between the OLE masts.
Fig 2 - Looking north
However the reverse of fig 1 is marred by the OLE mast.
Fig 3 - Looking south
This telephoto shot shows the curve to the south of the location, it was masked in mid winter by bushes. In the summer it will be hidden by them.
Fig 4 - Looking north
Coming down the steps of the footbridge offers a different set of perspectives by varying the height against the track. This shot is only useful for southbound slow trains.
Fig 5 - Looking north
Coming down the steps of the footbridge offers a different set of perspectives by varying the height against the track lower still this time. This shot is only useful for southbound slow trains.
Fig 6 - Looking south
Advance notice of southbound trains is very limited as this snatched shot will testify.
