Just north of the Forth estuary about 10 miles north of Edinburgh.
Railway type and traffic
DB Schenker coal and balancing empties, ScotRail Fife Circle, Edinburgh to Inverness/Aberdeen/Dundee, Virgin South to Aberdeen/Dundee, East Coast to Aberdeen services all cross the Forth Bridge.

Environment
Rural. Although the close proximity to the very busy A90 dual carriageway means there is a lot of road noise. There is also a sewage works near by and this can, mostly when the wind is coming from the west, result in some unpleasant smells.
Road directions
From the Forth Road BridgeTake the first exit after crossing into Fife, sign posted North Queensferry and Rosyth, take the third exit at the roundabout sign posted for Inverkeithing and enter the Bus Park and Ride at the second roundabout that you will immediately encounter. Drive to the furthest places available from the entrance to park your car. Climb the steep embankment to gain the best vantage point.

There is a frequent bus service from Inverkeithing to the Bus Park and Ride.

Amenities
Public toilets in the waiting room of the bus park and ride station. No other amenities near by, but Inverkeithing boasts pubs, shops and take away facilities.
